Overview
ACA’s D.C. program combines valuable test preparation, engaging college-level study, personal enrichment choices and community-service options with the opportunity to explore renowned universities.
Courses are held on the campus of American University. Students have the chance to earn up to 3-hours of applicable college credit upon successful completion of qualifying coursework. ACA students can also select from a wide array of non-credit enrichment options, improving existing skills or pursuing new interests.
Classes are held Monday through Friday, and are taught by distinguished American University faculty, AU graduate students or D.C.-area professionals. Teaching in an interactive, seminar style, creating a supportive environment that encourages you to actively participate in each class.
In addition, high schools often grant credit for ACA courses. We’ll be happy to work with your school ahead of time to determine whether your ACA coursework will qualify for such credit.
As an added benefit, ACA’s professors are always happy to write recommendation letters for college.
