religious influence. Then, three days a week, you experience the exciting locations just discussed in

couldn’t get from any textbook. Exciting destinations include: Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Tower of London, the Tate Gallery, Buckingham Palace, British Parliament and more.

The Legacy of British Royalty

The Royal Family no longer has any ruling power, but for some reason they still captivate us. British citizens and plenty of “colonials” follow the family exploits with celebrity devotion. That family is descended from a long line of famous, and often infamous, figures who have shaped history. This course presents the rich royal legacy in an interactive seminar that will take you to London’s timeless palaces, castles, educational institutions and churches.

International Relations – The U.S. & UK Experience

With its roots as English colonies, the U.S.-UK relationship endures long beyond the Revolutionary War. This course studies the similarities of these two great nations and how economic, political, and social policies transcend the Atlantic divide. Students will study important junctures in the relationship of these nations, from World War II and the development of NATO to 9/11 and the rise of terrorism.

British Rock ´n´ Roll – The Beatles to the Stones

One of the most influential, enduring types of music in the world! Trace British rock ´n´ roll from the Beatles to rock bands like Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones. You’ll study the music’s social and political influence, learning how it reached maximum velocity during the 60s, fueled by the civil rights struggle and Vietnam War. By the end of this course, you’ll be ready to rock and know the reason why.
